Assistance Dogs Help Autistic Children in Australia
The Lizard Children's Centre in Australia was founded by Nicole Rogerson because she couldn't find appropriate therapy for her son with autism. Intervention at the center is based on applied behavior analysis (ABA), which is difficult to find in Australia. The cost is high, but the government has promised funding for autism to begin in July. Other Australians are working hard to bring assistance dogs to children with autism. Righteous Pups is training dogs to be of personal service to children.
